If you’ve drawn a once-in-a-lifetime desert sheep permit in S56, we would be honored to share this experience with you. We live here and the sheep herds are doing very well.
The sheep are spread throughout some of the prettiest terrain that Western Colorado has to offer. The landscape varies greatly, from rocky cliffs to grass fields at 4,500 to 8,000 feet in elevation.
In 2020, Twisted Tines was a part of half of the sheep hunts in S56.
We were able to assist in taking this pope and young ram, only the 3rd ram taken with a bow in 10 years.
